In the sewers of Sydney, Australia, years of accumulated debris created a deadly environment unsafe for humans to enter to clean up.
Solution
A reliable and robust remote cleaning tool was developed that could operate in this hazardous environment and in zero visibility. Fugro GRL developed the system used to control and visualise the path of a tracked ROV, developed by Covus Inc., and to automate cleaning using a Schilling Titan 3 manipulator.
